The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has commenced a media campaign on "Fluoridation of Drinking Water" Oct. 22, 1999.  The published "Program Announcement 99111", "Water Fluoridation Assistance Program:, outlining their aims (including use of computer equipment and funds to achieve their "Healthy People 2000 Objective".)  High among their priorities was fluoridation (74% of the nation by the year 2000 and onward towards universal fluoridation.)
